About Us

Cathie Greene is the farmer at Wild Things Farm in Pocola, Oklahoma
Cathie prepares a class to pick their own strawberries!
Wild Things Farm is owned by Jim and Cathie Greene, with a great deal of help from our daughter Jennifer Dyke, our son Ryan, and our younger daughter Taylor. We started our 90-acre farm in 2000, with great dreams to raise acres and acres of Wild Flowers- hence the name, Wild Things Farm.

We began with strawberries, and now have customers coming great distances to pick their own from our beautiful fields. Next we added pumpkins, the great pumpkin patch, hayrides, and now the corn maze and flashlight maze. We have a large number of school tours because we are truly interested in teaching children about the farm, how vegetables are grown, and how animals are raised. We've also received tremendous enthusiasm for our Summer Day Camp on the farm, an exciting 5-day opportunity for children to play and learn.

Cathie is the chief farmer-plowing, planting, feeding animals, and cleaning bathrooms. Jim has an off-farm job, but puts in many, many hours on the farm, and does the accounting for the business.

Taylor Greene loves helping visitors at Wild Things Farm in Pocola, Oklahoma
Taylor finds a tall pumpkin for a moment of rest.

When you call, you'll usually talk with Kathy. Jennifer helps with tours and chores around the farm. Ryan has completed college and returned to the farm to help with tours and general farming. Taylor is an integral part of all our farm activities, helping teachers with their tour groups, caring for the animals, planting, helping with sales, and much more.

We all look forward to meeting you and sharing our farm with you and your family. If you have any questions at all, please do ask us. We love to share our farm, and what we have learned about the plants, animals, and farm life in Oklahoma.
